Out-of-Box Setup and Design
Upon unpacking the TV, the body and frame of the television seemed quite compact and robust for its size. Unboxing the television was quite easy, and the process of getting it set up took quite a while. Using the WiFi that was onboard, I was able to start streaming shows in a matter of minutes.
Design-wise, the Sanyo 32-inch smart TV is simple and straightforward to understand. Plastic makes up the casing, and thin bezels on the front make the design simple and minimalistic for modern environments. To ensure stability, two metal-paneled legs are located at the bottom.
The picture quality is good, and the cost is relatively low.
This LED TV has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 Full HD. In fact, the display quality is almost as excellent as they say online.
Contrast is good, and so is brightness; black and white seem distinct, and the colors are quite vivid. Details and textures in nature documentaries are particularly impressive. As I said, it's not the brightest or sharpest image you'll find, but it's adequate for watching TV and streaming movies.
The 32-inch screen space appears to be quite reasonable for its intended purpose. At a distance of 5–6 feet while watching from my living room couch, I never felt that I was not getting accurate picture details. Prepare for the bright and vivid image that you may find in bigger and more expensive models—plus, make sure it is in a considerably more compact form that works perfectly in kitchens, offices, bedrooms, or any other more limited space.
Snappy smart TV features
Since the Sanyo 32 Inch is a smart TV with Android 9.0, it is easily compatible with streaming apps. The home screen gives one simple access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Videos, and other frequently used applications. You can relocate tiles according to your desires or needs. In general, loading videos was swift and buffer-free.
The TV connects quickly with WiFi; however, there is a wired streaming option with an Ethernet port in case of slow connection issues. The remaining connection ports include 2 HDMI, 2 USB, a composite input, and an old-school antenna terminal. All of the necessary components for a complete interconnection are present.
Additional functionalities, such as screen casting and Google Cast, are also seamless and effective. I didn’t experience any difficulty streaming applications, videos, and images from my smartphone to the television. For families already invested in the Google or Android environment, the Chromecast integration is a fantastic bonus.
Crisp, balanced sound
They have a dual set of 6W downward-firing tweeters, which offers better audio quality than anticipated. The bass response tilts towards the lower end of the spectrum, but the mids and highs remain well defined and clear. In addition, the four audio preset equalizer modes allow one to select from sound profiles depending on the programming. For instance, changing to the “Theater” preset made action sequences much punchier.
The Sanyo 32-inch smart TV also comes with other luxuries, such as auto-volume control and compatibility with Dolby Digital. As much as I would suggest that adding a soundbar helps deliver loud cinematic sound, the native speakers are quite adequate for regular TV watching.
Intuitive Remote Control
Sanyo comes with a small-sized universal remote control that features all the required functions. The large directional pad on the right side of the controller makes it simple to move through menus. Other buttons, such as the hot keys for the often-used streaming applications, are also welcome. All are tactilely smooth and properly arranged.
I particularly benefited from the integrated microphone for voice command activation. Users can activate Google Assistant, search, change channels, and control smart homes by pressing the mic button. It was useful for dancing around the kitchen and other kitchen tasks.

Is the Sanyo 32-inch smart TV worth it?
The Sanyo 32-inch is usually sold for about ₦148,800, but the prices vary from one shop to the next. At the price point, it offers streaming capabilities and a fairly decent HD image display, all wrapped in a compact design suitable for a narrow space. This is due to the project's software's ease of use and the clear audio quality.
However, if only streaming capabilities are used as a criterion, it may be noted that the Roku smart platform, which is installed in other budget models, has an arguably smoother interface. The image quality is not comparable to high-end 4K models from Samsung or LG. However, spending more money significantly diminishes the value of money when setting up a secondary room.
I recommend the Sanyo 32-inch Smart TV as a decent budget television for guest rooms, dorms, kitchens, or any other small room. In summary, I highly recommend this cost-effective device to anyone seeking a high-quality 32-inch television set with streaming capabilities at a reasonable price point.
